HARVEST was founded in 2023 by a group of students at The Ohio State University who wanted to tackle some of the world's greatest challenges. From poverty, to social injustice, to climate change, they were determined to find the answers. After carefully crafting plans backed by science, these students set out to build a better future for the world around them, one step at a time.

I founded HARVEST in 2023 after entering college to study Neuroscience and realizing that I was on the wrong path. I have always been focused on helping people in need, and it has been a dream of mine to start a nonprofit for that purpose. So, after debating what I was going to do with my life, I naturally ended up creating the organization that I had spent my entire life dreaming about.

I joined HARVEST because I’m passionate about agriculture and sustainability, and wanted an opportunity to help others, especially those experiencing food insecurity. My major is radiologic science on the radiation therapy track. Evidently, my classes didn’t overlap much with agriculture or sustainability, so I wanted to join this nonprofit to get involved.
